Appalachia River Raiders
The River Raiders
Based in Tallahassee but named for the River. We serve North Florida and South Georgia. From the Flint river to the Apalachee Bay we are here to fight, win and represent the capital of Florida!

Bayou Brutes
The Brutes
Located in the Panhandle, the Bayou Brutes are the official buhurt armored combat team of Pensacola, Florida.
Representing the Gulf Coast with grit and determination, we compete in the intense, full-contact sport of Historical Medieval Battles (HMB), donning steel armor and stepping into the lyst with focus and force. Our roster features dedicated fighters and squires who train year-round, pushing their limits through strength, strategy, and teamwork.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Bayou Brutes are committed to more than just fighting—we work to grow the sport of armored combat across Florida and the Southeast, creating opportunities for new athletes, families, and fans to engage with this unique blend of history, competition, and community.
From state-level tournaments to representing Florida on the world stage, the Bayou Brutes fight with honor, resilience, and pride for the Gulf Coast.
Fort Lauderdale Storm
The Storm
Located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
The Fort Lauderdale Storm is the oldest running armored combat team in Florida, proudly carrying on the historic tradition of competitive medieval armored combat.
Led by two highly decorated veterans of the sport, the Storm has built a reputation as a true Florida powerhouse — both in competition and in camaraderie!
Our fighters train hard, fight harder, and party even harder, and we welcome anyone with the courage and desire to step into the ring. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or completely new to the sport, you’ll find a place on our team.
We hold team practice every Sunday at 2:00 PM at Mills Pond Park, right along the water. No armor? No problem. All you need are gym clothes — we’ll provide all the gear and show you the ropes.

The Orlando Rogue Knights are a Buhurt team driven by instinct, teamwork, and heart. We fight not just with steel, but with intuition and a strong moral compass that guides everything we do—from the battlefield to our team culture.
Founded on principles of inclusivity and respect, we strive to maintain a non-judgmental atmosphere where fighters of all backgrounds can thrive. Camaraderie is at the core of who we are. Every voice is heard, every opinion matters, and while we operate collectively, we rally under the leadership of our captain.
We train with intention, and discipline, committed to becoming one of the top fighting forces in the nation. Whether in the lyst or at practice, we push ourselves and each other to sharpen our skills and strengthen our bond.

SunForged Knights
The SunForged Knights
Located in Fort Myers, Southwest Florida, the Sunforged Knights are Page & Blade Society’s dedicated armored fighting chapter, committed to developing a community proficient in historical combat techniques.
We offer comprehensive classes in Buhurt, Harnischfechten, and HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts). Our curriculum blends authentic methods derived from historical texts with modern martial arts principles, utilizing a diverse array of melee weapons.
Join us for indoor practice at 15820 Chief Ct, Fort Myers, FL 33912 (Xtreme Air Gymnastics Academy) during the following times:
Sundays: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Tuesdays: 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Thursdays: 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
